A naturopath is a therapist
trained in the art of natural medicine,
which is often termed
alternative medicine or natural therapy.
Naturopaths seek to address the underlying cause of disease. Symptoms are viewed as an expression of the body’s attempt to heal itself, while the causes can spring from the physical, mental-emotional and spiritual levels.
The term naturopathy or “nature cure” describes a philosophy and a method of healing that employs various natural means to restore balance and encourage an individual to achieve their optimum level of health.
